Out the studio door
Most of our days are spent in our 4,000 square foot studio and on its grounds, with 30+ custom indoor and outdoor sets, so when someone asks for a special location, we get pretty excited. Your lake place, your backyard, Grandpa's farm, the park your family has visited for years. The places that matter to you make the photos mean even more.
Sometimes we make a whole day of it. One trip to Itasca State Park turned into back-to-back families, seniors, and maternity sessions, a leaf-throwing contest, and a storm that rolled through just in time for the good light. We'll have stories to go with your photos, too.

Summer at the lake
Every summer the lakes around Bemidji fill up with families here for a week at the cabin, a long weekend at the resort, or a reunion at the lake home that's been in the family for generations. Everyone is finally in one place. The kids are sun-kissed, Grandma's on the dock, and nobody has to pack up and drive to a studio.
We'll come to you. The dock, the shoreline, the back deck, or the fire pit as the sun goes down. You don't have to live here to book with us. Send your dates and your lake, and we'll plan the session around your stay.

Every on-location session starts the same way our studio sessions do: with a conversation about you, your people, and what you want to remember.

Send the location, your dates, and who's coming. A lake, a town, an address, or just a photo of the spot all work. We'll send back a travel quote if one applies.

We plan timing for the best light, talk through outfits, and pull anything you need from the studio closet. Gowns, props, blankets, the whole bag of tricks comes with us.

We handle the posing, the wrangling, and the giggles. You just enjoy your people in your favorite place. Your gallery arrives online, ready to share and print.
and if it storms?
Minnesota weather keeps us humble. We'll watch the radar with you and find a plan B together, whether that's a new date or moving inside to the studio, where our indoor sets make a built-in backup.
Travel + pricing
Short answer: less than you'd think, and you'll always know before you book.
Sessions in and around Bemidji are booked just like any other session. Choose your package on the session page and tell us where you'd like to be.
For lake country further out, Duluth, or the North Shore, a travel fee is added based on distance. We quote it upfront, so there are no surprises.
When we head out of town, we often book a few sessions in the same area on the same day. Friends or family at the same lake? Book together and split the drive.
Destination session, a favorite vacation spot, even Arizona? We love a road trip. Tell us where, and we'll put together a custom quote.
